Mtre Hélène de Kovachich is one of the architects of modern mediation in Quebec. A pioneer of the practice since 1994, her unique expertise combines an intimate knowledge of the high judiciary with an absolute mastery of business procedural innovation.
After working in private practice, her career path led her to the heart of public institutions, where she served for 16 years as an administrative judge and then as President of the Tribunal administratif du Québec (TAQ). Now back in private practice, she puts this exceptional experience to work for executives, SMEs, and law firms facing complex litigation.

Creation of the Groupe Option Médiation. It quickly established itself as a pioneer in commercial dispute resolution in Quebec.
2006
The Judiciary
Appointed as an administrative judge at the Tribunal administratif du Québec, she specializes in technical cases with high levels of tension.
2008 – 2013
The Presidency
Appointed President of the Tribunal administratif du Québec. Mandated by the government to restructure, design and implement major mediation and co-mediation processes, particularly in the complex field of expropriation.
2014 — 2022
Teaching & Doctrine
While continuing to serve as a judge, she published reference works, gave lectures in international forums, and directed the CMUM.
2022 — present
The Return to Private Business
Retired from the bench and returning to private practice, serving businesses, government departments, municipalities, government boards, and estates to offer agile, fast, and creative solutions outside of traditional courts.
